Ever year, almost 100 Bhojpuri films are being made, but in past one decade, only one of them (Kab Hoyee Gavna Hamaar) has been able to win a National Award so far.
Bhojpuri superstar Ravi Kishan, who was once nominated for the National Award as Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Hindi film "Tere Naam" is still looking for the same. "To be very frank with you, I feel like my next film "Bihari Mafia" is in the race for the next National Awards. the film is based on the real-story of common youth becoming a gangster, and this has been picturised in such a nice manner that, it will give everyone a reason to appretiate the same," said Ravi Kishan, with a confident smile on his face. "Bihari Mafia" is being directed by Babloo Soni, whose last film "Banke Bihari MLA" did good business in Bihar. And Babloo agrees to Ravi on this stand - "Yes, this is going to be the best of Ravi Kishan so far. Since it was his home production, he has put-in all efforts, and all his experience into it. I am sure this film is going to win several awards." The film shows the story of common youth becoming gangster, and it discourages them to follow that path. The film is going to hit silverscreen on March 12th, where it needs to compete with two more big films.
